About AMERINETS

Network & security infrastructure specialists. Enterprise discipline. Senior-led delivery.

AMERINETS is a specialized network and security infrastructure firm built around senior engineers and operational discipline. We bring the depth of a large consulting practice to every engagement, with the direct accountability of a focused team.

Network operations environment
The Company

Autonomous engineering. Enterprise discipline.

Modern organizations don't just need hardware configured — they need reliable, scalable network operations that run without constant oversight. AMERINETS is a specialized network engineering firm delivering senior-level infrastructure services on flexible C2C and 1099 terms.

Whether you need a comprehensive physical and logical network discovery, a zero-downtime campus refresh, or dedicated Tier-2/3 firewall support, our engineering team integrates seamlessly into your existing workflows, change-management boards, and ticketing systems from day one.

AMERINETS is built to be focused, not large. Every engagement is delivered by senior engineers with deep operational depth — no tier-1 hand-offs, no account-manager buffer, and no ambiguity about who is accountable for outcomes.

Background

10+ years across the environments that don't tolerate mistakes.

Operational depth, not breadth. The same engineering discipline that's delivered multi-site manufacturing refreshes and ICS / SCADA segmentation projects is what shows up on every AMERINETS engagement, regardless of size.

What the experience looks like in practice

Over the past decade, AMERINETS engagements have spanned global manufacturing environments, public-sector multi-campus deployments, and specialty industrial processing facilities — all with the same underlying constraint: the network is the platform, and the platform cannot fail.

A typical year includes two or three major cutover projects, a steady cadence of network discovery and documentation work, and ongoing Tier-2/3 operations for one or two longer-term clients. Engagements are delivered through standard C2C structures with staffing partners, MSPs, and direct enterprise procurement.

A dedicated lab environment supports staging and validation work before any change touches a production system. Configuration changes are tested against realistic topology emulations whenever the change surface warrants it.

How the work tends to be scoped

  • 40% — Project-based delivery. Defined-scope campus refreshes, fabric migrations, discovery and documentation projects.
  • 30% — Sustained Tier-2/3 operations. Long-term engagements with ticket-queue ownership and on-call coverage.
  • 20% — Architecture review and design. Third-party design review, refresh planning, vendor evaluation.
  • 10% — Cutover and emergency response. Pre-planned cutover windows, occasional incident surge support.

2014 – Present

AMERINETS Engineering Practice

The firm was founded in 2014 as a focused network engineering practice. C2C and 1099 engagements with staffing partners, MSPs, and direct enterprise clients — including multi-site manufacturing refreshes, public-sector standardization, and ICS / SCADA segmentation projects across North America.

2010 – 2014

Global Managed Services Background

Team experience in Tier-3 escalation for managed services clients across financial services, healthcare, and retail. Change-board chair; designed and led multi-customer refresh programs.

2007 – 2010

Manufacturing Network Operations

Team experience in in-house engineering for multi-plant industrial manufacturers. First exposure to ICS / SCADA segmentation requirements and 24/7 production-floor uptime commitments.

2004 – 2007

Mid-Market Enterprise Foundation

Foundational team experience in mid-market enterprise environments, covering routing, switching, firewall, and basic server administration. The operational discipline the practice was built on.

Our Engineering Team

Senior engineers. Direct delivery. No middle layer.

AMERINETS is staffed by senior network and security engineers with deep, hands-on operational depth across the enterprise platforms our clients run.

Senior-Led Teams, Every Engagement

The engineers who scope an engagement are part of the team that delivers it. We don't hand work to junior analysts after the contract is signed. The result is direct accountability from scoping through delivery.

Active, Verified Credentials

AMERINETS engineers maintain active CCNP and other vendor-specific certifications. Continuing education keeps the team current on Cisco, Palo Alto, Fortinet, Aruba, and Meraki platforms. Credentials verified on request.

Specialized, Not Generalist

AMERINETS engineers specialize in the network and security stack — not generalist IT. The operational depth comes from focus, not breadth, and that focus shows up in every engagement deliverable.

Team specializations

Across the AMERINETS engineering team, deep operational depth in:

  • Data Center — Cisco Nexus 9K/7K/5K/2K, Catalyst 9500/9300, vPC, FabricPath, VXLAN-EVPN
  • Campus & WAN — 3-Tier and Collapsed-Core campus, MPLS, BGP, OSPF, VRF, ISR 4300, ASR 1000
  • Security — Palo Alto NGFW, Fortinet FortiGate, Cisco ASA, Meraki MX, Cisco ISE 802.1X
  • Wireless — Aruba Mobility Conductors, A7024, AirWave, Meraki MR, Cisco Enterprise WLAN
  • Operations — SolarWinds, PRTG, SNMP/MRTG, MS Visio, Remedy, ServiceNow

How the team is staffed

Engagements are typically staffed with one to two senior engineers matched to the environment and engagement shape. For larger programs, additional senior engineers are added to the team under a single engagement lead.

All team members are W-2 employees of AMERINETS, not subcontractors. The same engineers who architect the engagement are the ones who execute the work, document the changes, and run the cutover.

What You Get

Three things that differentiate a senior practice.

Most engagements start with one of these. Most clients keep us because of all three.

Direct Senior Engagement

The senior engineers who scope an engagement are part of the team that delivers it. No tier-1 hand-offs, no account-manager buffer, no ambiguity about who is accountable for outcomes.

Operational Discipline

Change-board literate, Remedy / ServiceNow fluent. Every change ships with a written runbook, rollback path, and post-change validation.

Vendor-Agnostic Advice

No reseller agreements biasing platform recommendations. What fits your environment and lifecycle — not what fits a partner program tier.

Operating Principles

How the work is actually done.

Six principles that show up in every engagement. None of them are aspirational — they're operational defaults.

01

Document before changing

Every configuration change ships with a runbook: pre-checks, expected outcomes, rollback path, and post-change validation. No exceptions for "small" changes.

02

Change-board first, not after

CAB submissions are written clearly, risk-scored honestly, and defended in review. No surprise emergency changes without prior flagging to the change owner.

03

Test before production

Wherever the change surface warrants it, configurations are validated in a lab environment against a realistic topology emulation. Production is not the test bench.

04

Default-deny, least privilege

Firewall and access policy defaults to deny. Privileged operations are audited. Elevation requests are explicit, time-bound, and documented.

05

Knowledge transfer built in

At engagement end, the work is fully transferred: runbooks, architecture walkthroughs, recorded sessions, and clear documentation that internal teams can sustain.

06

Honest scoping

If a request is outside our team's depth — or not a good fit — the answer is "no" or a referral, not a yes followed by a junior hand-off.

Credentials & Compliance

Documentation ready for procurement review.

Standard credentials, insurance certificates, and compliance documentation are available on request and within 48 hours of formal engagement inquiry.

Certifications

Our engineering team holds active Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) and other vendor-specific certifications. Continuing education is maintained on Palo Alto, Fortinet, Aruba, and Meraki platforms. Full team credential list available on request during engagement scoping.

Insurance

Technology Errors & Omissions (Tech E&O) and General Liability ($1M / $2M aggregate). COIs delivered within 48 hours. End client can be named as additional insured where contractually required.

Contracting Vehicles

C2C (Corp-to-Corp) and direct 1099. Standard MSA and SOW packages pre-vetted for staffing partner and direct enterprise procurement workflows.

Background & Compliance

Standard background checks (criminal, employment, education verification) available on request. SOC 2 and similar security review documentation provided where client requires it for access.
